Rural Development Finance Corporation (RDFC)
The Rural Development Finance Corporation is a North Dakota nonprofit finance and development corporation. RDFC’s member-owners are all the North Dakota Rural Electric Cooperatives, nine of the North Dakota Rural Telecommunication Cooperatives and the North Dakota Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives. RDFC encourages economic diversification and community vitality through the generation of funding that supports sustainable asset building.

Grants are available to area organizations
As a Rural Development Finance Corporation (RDFC) member, Cass County Electric Cooperative has access to $3,000 in grant money available to eligible organizations within our service territory. RDFC makes these funds accessible yearly to encourage organizations to apply to their more extensive loan program that funds community-based projects and nonprofit entities with low-interest loans.
Guidelines
Eligible projects are community-owned businesses, community facilities, or community-based projects that will benefit the rural areas. A few examples are listed below.

2024 Grant
Cass County Electric Cooperative (CCEC) has joined the Rural Development Finance Corporation (RDFC) to support community-owned entities, non-profits, and community-based projects, distributing $3,000 total.
