Understanding Your Bill

Need help understanding a part of your electric bill? Tap on the green information circles to learn what the different parts and pieces mean.

Billing Policies

When can I expect to receive my bill?

Members can expect to receive their bills between the 10th and the 17th of every month.

When is my bill due?

Your bill is due either on the 20th, 25th or 30th of the month depending on the billing cycle in which your account falls.

*The due date is generally 10-15 days after your bill is generated.

What happens if I cannot pay my bill when it is due?

One of our member service specialists will work with you to set up an acceptable arrangement for later payment.

I was unable to pay my bill last month and now this month I have a notice of impending disconnect. What should I do to assure my power is not disconnected?

Call immediately to set up an acceptable payment arrangement or we can connect you with local agencies for assistance.

Do you assess penalty charges for unpaid bills?

Yes, late fees on unpaid balances accrue at a rate of 1.5% with a minimum of $3.

How will I be notified of impending disconnect for non payment?

If your account is subject for disconnection, you will receive a notice on your statement with instructions on what to do to keep the account from being disconnected. Additionally, approximately five days prior to your account actually being disconnected, you will receive one more reminder. If we still hear nothing from you, your account can be disconnected without further notice.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Cass County Electric Cooperative accepts payments by cash, check, money orders, Visa and MasterCard.

Where can I pay my bill?

Cass County Electric Cooperative offers many avenues to make bill-paying convenient for you. Aside from mailing your payment, there are drop boxes at our service centers in Valley City, Arthur, Lisbon, and Fargo.

We also offer online payments when you sign up for an online account, download the Cass County Electric mobile app or you can pay over the phone. Simply call our office and one of our member service specialists can accept a payment from you from your checking account, Visa or MasterCard.

Do you offer automatic payment?

Cass County Electric Cooperative offers automatic payment through our autopay program. In fact, if you sign up for checking autopay, we will give you a $10 energy credit simply for signing up. We do this because we believe strongly in this payment method.
