Cass County Electric Cooperative is dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, sustainable, and affordable energy tailored to the needs of our local communities. Unlike typical utility companies, we answer to our members rather than shareholders, which gives us a unique understanding of local priorities. Our cooperative is staffed by your friends and neighbors, and we strive to make a difference beyond just providing electricity.

We operate on cooperative principles, and any excess revenue is returned to our members over time. Although we serve nearly 60,000 members across ten counties and 6,000 miles of line, we are part of a larger network of electric cooperatives that collaborate to enhance technology and restore power during outages.

As a community-focused organization, we create jobs and invest in our region through initiatives like Prairie Sun Community Solar, Operation Round Up, scholarships, sponsorships, and the Youth Leadership Tour. Our cooperative structure sets us apart from traditional utility consumers; our leaders are local residents elected by members.
