Peppermint mocha


3/4 cup milk
3 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup espresso (or strong coffee)
1/2 teaspoon mint extract or peppermint candy cane
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Whipped cream
Pinch of chocolate shavings


Add milk, unsweetened cocoa, and sugar to a small saucepan.
Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely.
Stir occasionally.
While the milk mixture is heating, brew ¾ cup espresso or strong coffee.

Pour into large mugs and top with whipped cream.
Sprinkle chocolate shavings
